Vigilance is an integral part of ensuring good governance in the organization and rightly the motto of the department is “Vigilance for Corporate Excellence”.

We believe that with best practices, adequate controls, marked accountability and complete transparency, the decision taken will be efficient, effective and consistent, leading to Corporate Excellence. Our aim here in vigilance department is to enroll each and every employee in this concept so that their thoughts and actions are in total harmony with Corporation’s overall vision.

Vigilance administration in SIL is being supervised by the CVO as per the mandate given by Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprise and CVC. The major work of vigilance department comprise Preventive Vigilance activities like collection of intelligence about corrupt practices committed or likely to be committed, surprise inspection, scrutiny of property returns, identification of sensitive posts, vigilance clearance for sensitive assignments etc. Vigilance department also ensures timely completion of disciplinary proceedings. There is enough scope for strengthening the existing mechanism to address the issues concerning transparency, equity and fairness in our dealings with various stakeholders. Transparency in our work environment boost the morale of the work force expedites decision making process and also enhances the brand image of the organization. Vigilance deptt. has adequate checks and balances to minimize any possibility of corrupt practices.
